• Coolgardie Custom Milling CIL refurbishment.
This project entailed the demolition and removal of the existing plant of five leach tanks and framework, and the fabrication, installation and commissioning of a totally new plant. This project was handled totally in house, with fabrication surface treatment and installation handled by Tierney Contracting Pty Ltd and Tierney Coating Services.  

• Our speciality with tanks and tank refurbishment.
KCGM tank project-over a period of twelve months, the company was responsible for the refurbishment of carbon in leach tanks. This gave it the expertise to accomplish further projects of this nature, including Normandy Kaltails and Centaur Mining's Mt Pleasant.

• Normandy Kaltails Leach Tanks Demolition and Relocation.
This project was mainly a demolition task, although three tanks had to be stripped down and relocated to Gidji for the Ultra Fine Grinding Project.

• K.C.G.M - Fimiston Rougher Tanks
The Fimiston Rougher tank is a good example of one of the more recent projects handled by Tierney Contracting Pty Ltd.

The tank was fabricated at Tierney Contracting Pty Ltd yard at 7 Cunningham Road, then handed over to Tierney Coating Services to blast and surface treat. The site installation was achieved, by again teaming Tierney Contracting Pty Ltd and Tierney Coating Services in conjunction with other local contractors.

The ability to handle both fabrication and surface treatment totally in-house was key to successfully tendering for this project. By involving all of the Tierney operations in the project planning, it was possible to guarantee that installation would be achieved within the client's required four day window. This time frame was half of that forecast by our competition.

Reports on the finished project were very positive, and show that Tierney Contracting Pty Ltd can offer an extremely competitive service in the construction mining industry from the initial stages to the finished product.
